GRUB INSTALLATION

Dual Booting ഉള കമയടറില ആദയ പാരടീഷയനില windows ഉം മേറെതങിലം
പാരടീഷയനില Linux (IT@School Ubuntu)ഉം ഉണായിരികം.(windows മേറെതങിലം
logical partition-ല ആയാലം ആദയപാരടീഷയനില ചില windows ഫയലകള ഉണാകം
ആയതിനാല windows install െചയിടള കമയടറില ആദയപാരടീഷയന vfat -file type
ആയിരികം. )
ഏെതങിലം കാരണവശാല, windows re-install െചേയണിവനാല Ubuntu
ലഭികാെത വരം. ഈ സാഹചരയതില, വീണം Ubuntu re-Install െചേയണതില. GRUB
മാതം install െചയാല മതിയാകം. അതിന്, ചവെട േചരകന steps follow െചയക.
1. IT@School Ubuntu Linux DVD ഉപേയാഗിച് ഒനാമെത ഓപഷനിലെട(-Try
Ubuntu without any change to your computer) കമയടര boot െചയക(Booting from
Live DVD).
2. Booting പരതിയായേശഷം, terminal open െചയ് sudo su എന command
ഉപേയാഗിച് root ആയി login െചയക.
3. fdisk -l എന command ഉപേയാഗിച് ഏത് partition ല ആണ് ubuntu install
െചയിടളത് എന് കെണതക. (...........ഉദാ: /dev/sda6 ......).
4. പസത പാരടീഷയെന mount command ഉപേയാഗിച് /mnt യില mount െചയക.
(ഉദാ: ............. mount /dev/sda6 /mnt ......................)
5. തടരന് grub-install --root-directory=/mnt '(hd0)' എന command type െചയ്
Enter Key അമരതക.
6. ഇേപാള മറ് കഴപങെളാനമിെലങില, GRUB Installation പരതിയായിടണാകം.
(Installation finished. No error reported. എന റിേപാരട് കാണാനാകം.)
7. തടരന് System reboot െചയാല മതി. (reboot െചയേമാള System boot
െചയനതിന് മമായി DVD Eject െചേയണതാണ്).
